NYSIgN has established the following objectives:
- To assist with program development by providing written materials,
training conferences, and guidelines for program planning,
implementaion and evaluation.
- To create and maintain a resource directory of intergenerational
programs throughout New York State.
- To advocate on policy issues which address human needs of all
generations at local, state, and national levels.
- To support and promote regional networks.

NYSIgN provides information on local and national intergenerational issues, programs, policies and resources
through two channels: the Alert! e-bulletin, which is sent out at least once a month; and the NYSIgN News
e-newsletter, which is sent out on a quarterly basis. Efforts are made to stay current with issues, events
and policies. Past copies of all publications are available through the "Resources" button.
