NYSIgN emerged
as an outgrowth of the first Generations United
national conference held in 1988 in Washington, DC, by the
Child Welfare League of America and the National Council on the Aging.
In 1990, NYSIgN received a Pioneer Award from Generations
United for establishing a statewide network.
